Italian Courses

This is an introductory course designed for people who have no prior knowledge of Italian.

• Course topics this session: pronunciation, greeting, days, dates, numbers, expressing personal information and an introduction to basic grammar concepts.
• This course does not require a textbook.

Class dates: September 1, 8, 15, 22,  October 6, 13, 20  (No class on September 29)

This course is designed for students who were enrolled in the Beginner 2 class (Tuesdays  7pm with Daniela) in Spring Session 2 or anyone who has some previous knowledge of basic Italian (i.e. present tense of are-ere-ire verbs).

• Course topics this session: hotel terms and vocabulary (dialogues related to hotel stays), descriptive adjectives, and irregular verbs.
• This course does not require a textbook.

Class dates:  September 1, 8, 15, 22,  October 6, 13, 20  (No class on September 29)

This course is designed for students who were enrolled in the Intermediate 1 class (Wednesday 7:00 with Daniela) in Spring Session 1 (the class title remains the same) or anyone who has knowledge of grammar concepts presented through Chapter 10 of Ciao! Click here for a listing of grammar concepts by chapter.

• Course topics this session: Starting Chapters 11 of Ciao!- 7th edition (vacation vocabulary, the future tense, stressed pronouns)
• This course uses the textbook Ciao! - 7th edition. Purchasing a hard copy of the textbook is not required; however, purchasing options will be provided upon request.

This course is designed for students who were enrolled in the Intermediate 3 course (Wed. 5:00 with Matt) in Spring Session  2 (the class title remains the same) or anyone who has knowledge of all grammar concepts presented in Ciao! or a similar Italian textbook. • Course topics this session:  Starting Chapter 1 in Ponti -3rd edition  (regular and irregular comparatives and superlatives, the progressive) in addition to other digital/multimedia materials provided by the instructor.
•  This course uses the textbook Ponti – 3rd edition.  Purchasing a hard copy of the textbook is not required; however, purchasing options will be provided upon request.

This course is designed for students who were enrolled in the Italian Advanced 1 class (Wednesday 6:00 with Matt) in Spring Session 2 (the class title remains the same) or anyone who has knowledge  of all grammar concepts presented in Ciao! or a similar Italian textbook. • Course topics this session: Continuing Chapter 7 of Ponti  (technology vocab, the simple future and future perfect, the present and past conditional, relative pronouns), in addition to other digital/multimedia materials provided by the instructor. 
• Continuing Le avventure di Pinocchio (picking up with Chapter 5 )
• This course uses Ponti-3rd edition. Purchasing a hard copy of the textbook is not required; however, purchasing options will be provided upon request.
